how makes you laugh at the most unexpected moments
Director James Hawes slowly but surely builds his narrative over six healthy episodes, which are full of unexpected twists and turns as the stakes rise and the plot becomes more complicated as the team follows one another. Oldman is in fine form as the caustic, chattering spy who seems to use sneers and contempt as weapons to get his team to work, and the supporting cast play adept roles against the old master, creating a vivid world that also intrigues. Writings of Morvenna Banks; Will Smith; Johnny Stockwood; Mark Denton deserves special praise for finding the right balance between character development, intrigue, unexpected twists and humor.

Apple TV+ has another winner: Slow Horses and The Rift are clearly set to be among the best new series of 2022.
