Plot
Buried memories of the Spanish Civil War come to light when a woman’s grandfather searches for her father’s remains and discovers the story of an idealistic young teacher from Tarragona. Composed by Nana, Manuel de Falla. It’s too hard for me to add to the post by emit1717 who did an excellent job with it. These are my thoughts exactly. I saw this film today at the new Palace complex in Sydney with less than 10 people! I had a hard time keeping my eyes dry with sadness but also with joy to witness such a work. Oh, I need twice the number of characters! As a French child, I was pretty good at Spanish, so I also liked the language, which wasn’t fast and clear enough to understand any of it without reading the subtitles! ‘You’re also learning Spanish, that might be another reason to see this beautiful story that I know is also a true story.
