Plot
After her life falls apart, silent actress Laura Franco finds her voice again when she meets the terrifying but oddly charming Monster who lives in her closet. A romantic comedy-horror film about falling in love with your inner rage. Filmed at the Ritz and mostly in New Jersey.

I think you’d find it very, well, scary.. Referenced in Amanda the Jedi Show: The BEST and Weirdest Movies You’ve (Mostly) Never Seen | Love Lies Bleeding (2024). This movie could have been great with Melissa and Tommy’s performances.
The wardrobe and makeup were fantastic
Alas, the empowering rise of the once-sick Laura is derailed by laziness and cliché. The story, while a bit over the top, was unique enough to captivate…until…my theater audibly encountered a terrible scene that undoes all meaningful character development. Why?
For now, I’ll rewatch "Lisa Frankenstein"
I feel like a screen test could have easily fixed this and salvaged what could. The conclusion, while vaguely "triumphant" falters and also conveniently misses its own standing ovation. I wish I could agree with the moviegoers, but I just wasn’t ‘for it.’ Rework the lazy tropical scene and rewrite the finale, and this could actually be a decent romantic dark comedy.
