Abrams’ “Lost” almost had a completely different cast
Survivors of a plane crash are forced to work together to survive on a seemingly deserted tropical island. J.J. See which A-listers missed out on one of the most popular TV shows of all time. Sawyer’s character was originally supposed to be an older, slick, suit-wearing urban hustler from Buffalo, New York.

However, when Josh Holloway forgot a line in his audition and subsequently kicked a chair in frustration and loudly cursed, the writers liked the edge he brought to Sawyer’s character and decided to write Sawyer as more of a Southern, darker drifter instead. Jin and Sun are married and share the last name “Kwon,” which becomes a major plot point in the final season. However, when Koreans get married, the wife never takes her husband’s last name. The strange opening credits were designed by J.J. Abrams on his laptop in black and white as an homage to The Twilight Zone. I’ve watched a lot of TV in my life, maybe too much. But this is the best TV series I’ve watched in ages.
Probably the best ever
You just can’t predict what’s going to happen. Every week the show seems to tell you something new about the island and its inhabitants. I’m on the edge of my seat waiting to find out what’s going to happen, and then before I know it, the program is over and I have to wait to find out what happens next. Completely captivating!
This show is amazing and I hope they keep doing it because often fantastic shows in the US get cancelled because the ratings start to dip a little or the executives think the show is too weird
I really hope the series continues so we can put it on here in England because it’s a fantastic show and I would love to have the DVDs of this series so I can get all my friends hooked too.
