Plot
A patient therapist begins to tell his clients what he thinks
Ignoring his training and ethics, he finds himself making a huge difference in people’s lives, including his own. The cast of “Downsizing” shares the key moments that defined their characters in the first season and reveals who does the best Harrison Ford impersonation.
Eventually, Goldstein talked to Ford and convinced him to take on the role
When Brett Goldstein, Jason Siegel, and Bill Lawrence were asked how they got Harrison Ford on the show, Siegel said that Goldstein originally wanted a “Harrison Ford type” and was going to audition people who looked like Ford. Siegel told Goldstein that they should have at least presented it to Ford first, thinking that he would immediately refuse, but at least other people would hear that Harrison Ford got the project, which would cause interest from other famous actors.

Goldstein still doesn’t understand what he did to convince him, but he was thrilled anyway.. I watched the first two episodes and found them compelling.
I also appreciate the way it’s presented – he’s not doing what other therapists should be doing, and that’s quite clear
Part of the reason is that I discovered that there was something real, based on a therapist who needs therapy and wants to break through to his patients in order to unexpectedly break through his own problems. It hasn’t gotten to the silly situations of other shows like Loot, but it’s still the beginning of a series and I’ll keep watching it.
The show is not for everyone
At the same time, I like the depth of the characters, which do not seem like caricatures; these are people I’m interested in getting to know.
